The site of the future Hollandia Botanical Garden is at the northeastern edge of the Center City district.  It surrounds the Miami Trail Bike Path, encompasses both the north and south shores of Buck Creek, and extends from the intersection of Warder and Water Streets to Sherman Avenue.

An easy reference point is the Springfield Central Fire Station on North Fountain Avenue.  The light immediately north of the station is Warder Street (Kissell Center Building).  Turn east onto Warder and simply follow it along Buck Creek to its end at Water Street.  You're at our *entrance!

An alternate reference point is Bill Marine Honda, where Water Street intersects with North Street (bottom of Route 40 overpass).  Simply turn north onto Water Street and proceed over the creek.  You're at our *entrance!

We welcome you to take a stroll along the Bike Path, using your "future vision" glasses as you do so.  Having acquainted yourself with our Master Plan, imagine yourself strolling through a series of artfully designed and flourishing plots on the very same site!  Imagine that you can see all the way down to Buck Creek--pleasantly curving and swift as it runs by our land.

*The other current entrance to the site, the one used for the Bulb Festival, is at Sherman Avenue just before one comes to the bridge (heading east).  The convenient Sherman Avenue Playground lot is directly across the street.  To reach this entrance from the Water Street entrance, head a short distance north up Water Street to Mt. Vernon Avenue and turn right.  As you proceed around the curve, Mt. Vernon becomes Murray Street.  Turn right at the first intersection, which is Sherman Avenue, and go one short block to the area just before the bridge; the entrance is on your right, and the playground lot is on your left.

NOTE  The map above shows Front Street--between Water and Sherman--which no longer exists.  Many years ago it was replaced by the Bike Path.
