April 17 and 18
Festival hours: Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The Bulb Festival is an intimate preview of the planned public Garden that is to arise on our 11-acre site (map).
Over a four-year period, HBG volunteers have planted 18,000 bulbs plus three sets of supplemental bulbs in twenty-four beds. Our goal is that the blooms will provide a glimpse of the much more extensive displays you will encounter at the site once the Garden is built.
To see the plan for the Garden, including artist conceptions of selected portions, go to the Master Plan Pictures section (under Garden Designs and Plans.
The Garden is to be a community-centered attraction, a place not only for beautiful displays but for learning, wellness activities, and celebrations both public and private. The Festival embodies this character. Thus, in addition to the array of blooms, the Festival includes a variety of activities for adults and children as well as the opportunity to purchase high quality bulbs, other plants, and other interesting items for your home and garden.
